As of November 2026, SpyFu costs $39 a month for Basic, $119 a month for Pro + AI and $249 a month for Team / Agency on monthly billing, or $29, $89 and $187 a month billed yearly. SpyFu advertises its plans as "starting at" $29 a month, which is Basic's price on annual billing; paid month by month, Basic is $39.

Pro + AI carries an introductory offer: $59 for the first month, then $119 a month. Budget for the full price from month two.

What does each SpyFu plan limit?

SpyFu's plans differ mainly in how many result rows you can see and export, how many sites and keywords you can track, how much the site audit crawls, and how many users are included. Every plan's card lists SpyFu's 10+ years of historical data, which is the core of what it sells: how competitors' organic rankings and paid ads have changed over time.

Basic, $39 a month

Basic shows up to 10,000 rows per search and export, covers 1 tracking project, 5,000 keyword rankings tracked weekly and 10 automated reports. Its site audit crawls 50,000 pages a month, up to 500 per crawl, with 1,000 AI fixes a month for 1 connected site. It includes 1 user.

Pro + AI, $119 a month

Pro + AI removes the row limits ("unlimited search results" and exports), raises tracking to 10 tracking projects and 15,000 weekly keyword rankings, gives 100 automated reports, a 500,000-page monthly audit with up to 10,000 pages per crawl, 5,000 AI fixes and 3 connected sites, and adds RivalFlow for one site. It still includes 1 user; extra users are $30 each.

Team / Agency, $249 a month

Team / Agency includes 5 users, unlimited tracking projects, 50,000 weekly keyword rankings, unlimited automated reports, a 2-million-page monthly audit that can run daily, 10,000 AI fixes, 5 connected sites and RivalFlow on 5 sites.

Rank tracking is weekly

What costs extra on SpyFu?

Extra users are the main extra cost on SpyFu: $15 each on Basic and $30 on Pro + AI and Team / Agency, according to its comparison table. A three-person team on Pro + AI pays $119 plus two seats, $179 a month on monthly billing, while Team / Agency includes 5 users for $249. Basic has no API access. Pro + AI includes $40 of API credits and Team / Agency $100; usage beyond that is billed at SpyFu's API rates, linked from the comparison table.

How much do you save by paying SpyFu yearly?

Paying yearly saves 25%, which SpyFu presents as "3 months free": $120 a year on Basic, $360 on Pro + AI and $744 on Team / Agency. Those savings are measured against the regular monthly prices, not Pro + AI's first-month offer. Annual plans are billed once for the year.

SpyFu's guarantee is unusually broad for an annual commitment: its pricing page promises a refund "for any reason" if you ask within the first 30 days, with no forms and no questions. That makes a yearly plan less risky to try than at vendors whose refunds cover only a few days, such as Mangools at 48 hours.

Which SpyFu plan should you choose?

Choose Basic for occasional competitor and ad research on one site, Pro + AI if 10,000 rows per search is too few or you track several sites, and Team / Agency once three or more people need logins. SpyFu is strongest at competitor history, especially paid search, so the plan should follow how deep you dig into rivals.

What are cheaper alternatives to SpyFu?

SpyFu Basic is already one of the cheapest competitor-research plans, so the real alternatives are Mangools for keyword research with SERP analysis, Keyword.com for rank tracking alone, and Google Search Console or MrKeyword if you mainly need your own site's data. What MrKeyword does not do

MrKeyword is not a replacement for SpyFu if you need competitors' ad history or their full keyword lists.

• No web-scale keyword index. It cannot list every keyword a competitor ranks for. Its search volumes come from Google Keyword Planner through the official Google Ads API, for the keywords you research.
• Competitor positions are predicted, not measured. The Competitors tab in rank tracking estimates where rival domains rank from MrKeyword's own index and labels every figure Predicted.
• No live SERP checks. It never scrapes Google. Your positions are Google's own average positions from Search Console (and Bing Webmaster Tools), for sites you verify, with Google's usual 2 to 3 day delay.
• A smaller link index. Backlinks and Link Authority come from MrKeyword's web graph, which is smaller than the link indexes the big suites run.
• No local pack, map or ads tracking, and no social media or PPC toolkits.
