- SE Ranking's two listed plans as of November 2026: Core $129 a month and Growth $279, or $103.20 and $223.20 a month billed yearly. Enterprise is priced by sales.
- The limits that matter are projects (10 or 30), keywords tracked daily (2,000 or 5,000) and manager seats (1 or 3). Growth also keeps all-time history; Core keeps 6 months.
- Add-ons change the bill: extra seats from $16, extra keywords from $22.40, and white-label reporting through the Agency Pack at $69 a month on annual billing only.
- Try before you pay: the 14-day trial needs no card. SE Ranking says payments are non-refundable unless the service was not delivered, so use the trial, then decide.
- For one website you own, Google Search Console is free, and MrKeyword (our product) is free for 25 tracked keywords, then $10 a month. Neither replaces SE Ranking's competitor research.
Disclosure: MrKeyword publishes this page and appears in it as one of the cheaper options. Every SE Ranking figure below was read on SE Ranking's pricing page on 1 November 2026. We re-check it monthly, but SE Ranking can change prices at any time, so confirm on its page before you buy.
How much does SE Ranking cost?
As of November 2026, SE Ranking costs $129 a month for its Core plan and $279 a month for Growth on monthly billing, and $103.20 and $223.20 a month when you pay for a year. A third tier, Enterprise, has no listed price: it has custom limits and terms set with sales. Those are the plans on SE Ranking's own pricing page; everything else it sells is an add-on to one of them.
Both listed plans track rankings daily. If a review quotes other plan names or prices, check its date against the one above: vendor pricing pages change more often than the reviews that quote them.
SE Ranking plans, as of November 2026
| Plan | Monthly billing | Billed yearly, per month | Projects / sites | Tracked keywords | Rank updates | Users | Extra user |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core | $129/mo | $103.20/mo | 10 projects | 2,000 | Daily | 1 manager seat | From $16 |
| Growth | $279/mo | $223.20/mo | 30 projects | 5,000 | Daily | 3 manager seats | From $16 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom | Daily | Custom | Not stated |
What does each SE Ranking plan limit?
Each SE Ranking plan is limited mainly by projects, keywords tracked daily and manager seats, with further caps on audit pages, reports, exports and history. The plan table above holds the first three; the rest are in the comparison table further down SE Ranking's pricing page.
Core, $129 a month
Core is SE Ranking's plan for "teams with focused SEO work and repeatable delivery". It covers 10 projects and 2,000 keywords tracked daily in Google's top 100, with 1 manager seat. The page lists unlimited keyword, competitor and backlink research on Core, plus a website audit of up to 250,000 pages a month across the account, 10 Report Builder reports, 50,000 export rows, 6 months of history and 25,000 Research API credits with MCP access.
Growth, $279 a month
Growth triples projects to 30, raises daily keywords to 5,000 and includes 3 manager seats. It also lifts the audit allowance to 2 million pages per account, gives 30 reports, 100,000 export rows, 1,000 on-page checks instead of 50, all-time history and 100,000 Research API credits. If you need more than one person logged in, Growth's extra seats often make it cheaper than Core plus add-ons.
What both plans include
Both plans include AI visibility tracking of 25 prompts a day across 5 AI engines for one project, local marketing for 3 locations with 1,500 local and map keywords, and 25 (Core) or 50 (Growth) content marketing articles a month. SE Ranking says only one session can be active per login at a time, so a shared login works for one person at a time; add seats or use guest links instead.
Enterprise, custom price
Enterprise is for "large teams and complex projects", with custom limits, flexible terms and full API access. Its price is set after a call with sales.
What costs extra on SE Ranking?
SE Ranking's headline price buys one seat on Core and three on Growth; extra seats, extra keywords, white-label reporting, more API credits and more AI prompts are priced separately. The pricing page lists these add-ons:
- Extra manager seats: from $16 each, on Core and Growth.
- Extra tracked keywords: from $22.40 on Core, from $32 on Growth.
- Extra local marketing locations: from $18.40.
- Extra content marketing articles: from $39.20.
- Agency Pack (white label, client seats, lead generator): +$69 a month, annual billing only.
- API add-on: +$29 a month on monthly billing for 150K credits; larger credit packs on annual billing.
- AI visibility beyond the 25 daily prompts: from $71 a month for 75 prompts.
- Standalone SE Ranking API plan: from $179 a month, annual billing only.
The "from" prices matter. SE Ranking gives a starting price for extra keywords and seats, so a large top-up may cost more per unit than the first step. An agency that needs white-label client reports pays for Growth plus the $69 Agency Pack, which is sold only with annual billing.
How much do you save by paying SE Ranking yearly?
Paying yearly saves 20%: Core falls from $129 to $103.20 a month and Growth from $279 to $223.20, billed upfront for the year. By our arithmetic on SE Ranking's figures, a year of Core costs $1,238.40 paid annually; a year of Growth costs $2,678.40.
The annual plan has two extras besides the discount: SE Ranking offers free assisted migration from another tool with an annual subscription, and the Agency Pack is only available on annual billing. The catch is refunds. SE Ranking's FAQ says you can cancel any time but payments are non-refundable, except where the service was not delivered as promised. A year paid upfront is a year committed.
Does SE Ranking have a free trial or free plan?
SE Ranking has a 14-day free trial that needs no credit card, but no permanent free plan. Its FAQ says the trial is fully functional with starter usage: up to 10 projects, 750 tracked keywords a day, 20 AI prompts a day and AI competitive research on up to 3 domains. That is enough to set up a real project and watch two weeks of daily positions before you decide.
If you want something free to keep, the options are different tools. Google Search Console shows your own site's queries and average positions at no cost, and our free rank trackers comparison lists the trackers with a genuinely free tier and what each one limits.
Track one website's rankings free, no cardMrKeyword's free rank tracker follows 25 keywords from your own Search Console positions, every day, with no end date.
Start tracking freeWhich SE Ranking plan should you choose?
Choose Core if one person manages up to 10 sites and 2,000 keywords, Growth if you need more seats, more than 10 projects or full history, and Enterprise only when Growth's limits run out. Most freelancers and small businesses fit Core; most agencies end up on Growth.
| If you are… | Plan that fits | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A freelancer or owner running a few sites | Core | 10 projects and 2,000 daily keywords cover most solo work |
| An in-house team of two or three | Growth | 3 manager seats included, where Core has one |
| An agency reporting to clients under its own brand | Growth plus Agency Pack | 30 projects, white-label reports, annual billing |
| A large team needing custom limits or the full API | Enterprise | Custom limits and terms |
| Someone tracking one site's own rankings | Possibly none | Search Console data may be enough; see below |
Count before you buy. List the websites you will add as projects this quarter and the keywords you will actually check each week. If both are well inside Core's limits, the cheaper plan is fine; if a second person needs to log in daily, compare Growth with Core plus an extra seat (from $16 each).
What are cheaper alternatives to SE Ranking?
Cheaper alternatives to SE Ranking include Mangools and SpyFu for competitor research at a lower entry price, Keyword.com for tracking alone, and Google Search Console or MrKeyword if you mainly need your own site's rankings. Each gives up something SE Ranking includes, so match the tool to the reports you actually open.
Cheaper options than SE Ranking, entry plans as of November 2026
| Tool and plan | Monthly billing | Billed yearly | Tracked keywords | Projects / sites | Where positions come from |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mangools Basic | $61/mo | $37.70/mo | 200, weekly | Unlimited domains | Its own checks of live search results |
| SpyFu Basic | $39/mo | $29/mo | 5,000, weekly | 1 tracking project | Its own checks of live search results |
| Keyword.com Search Visibility | From $4/mo | From $3/mo | 50 to 500 (package), weekly or daily | Unlimited domains | Its own checks of live search results |
| Moz Pro Standard | $99/mo | $79/mo | 300 | 3 campaigns | Its own checks of live search results |
| Google Search Console | Free | Free | Every query your site appears for | Sites you verify | Google's own data for your site |
| MrKeyword Free (ours) | $0 | $0 | 25, daily | 1 website | Your Search Console and Bing data |
| MrKeyword Starter (ours) | $10/mo | $8.33/mo ($100 a year) | 500, daily | 1 website | Your Search Console and Bing data |
Mangools and SpyFu
Both run their own databases, so they can show keywords and rankings for domains you do not own, as SE Ranking does. Mangools bundles KWFinder, SERPWatcher and three other tools with fewer tracked keywords and weekly updates below its Agency plan; our Mangools pricing page breaks it down. SpyFu leans on competitor and ads history and tracks rankings weekly; see SpyFu pricing.
Google Search Console and MrKeyword
If your question is "how is my own site doing in Google?", Search Console answers it free and with Google's own numbers. MrKeyword, which we make, is built on that data: it keeps a daily history of your Search Console and Bing positions, adds keyword volumes from Google Keyword Planner, a site audit and a backlink checker. The Free plan covers 1 website and 25 tracked keywords; Starter is $10 a month for 500 keywords, Growth $19 for 3 websites and Agency $49 for 10. Some parts work without an account: the free site audit checks a single page with no sign-up, the free backlink checker shows the first 5 referring domains, and the domain authority checker and website traffic checker take up to 5 domains at a time. The free keyword research tool runs on a free account with 10 keyword lookups a month and no card.
For every vendor side by side, see SEO tool pricing compared; for trackers only, best rank tracking software compares eight of them.
Is SE Ranking worth the price?
SE Ranking is good value if you use its rank tracking and competitor research together every week; it is poor value if you only need your own site's positions. Next to Semrush and Ahrefs it is cheaper per tracked keyword: Core tracks 2,000 keywords daily, where Semrush's SEO plan tracks 500 at $139 and Ahrefs Lite tracks 750 weekly at $129. Its limits are clear and its trial is generous.
Its weak spots are the add-on stack and the refund policy. White label, extra seats and more API credits each add a line to the invoice, and money paid is generally not refunded. Run the trial on the project you care about most, and price the add-ons you will really need before committing to a year.
What MrKeyword does not do
MrKeyword is not a replacement for SE Ranking if your work depends on data about sites you do not own or on live results-page checks.
- No web-scale keyword index. It cannot list every keyword a competitor ranks for. Its search volumes come from Google Keyword Planner through the official Google Ads API, for the keywords you research.
- Competitor positions are predicted, not measured. The Competitors tab in rank tracking estimates where rival domains rank from MrKeyword's own index and labels every figure Predicted.
- No live SERP checks. It never scrapes Google. Your positions are Google's own average positions from Search Console (and Bing Webmaster Tools), for sites you verify, with Google's usual 2 to 3 day delay.
- A smaller link index. Backlinks and Link Authority come from MrKeyword's web graph, which is smaller than the link indexes the big suites run.
- No local pack, map or ads tracking, and no social media or PPC toolkits.
