MrKeyword
For agencies and consultants

SEO tools for agencies, billed per client site.

Most SEO tools for agencies make you buy a tier: pay for fifty sites because you have twelve. MrKeyword charges $5 a month per website and multiplies every allowance with it, so the bill matches the client list. This page is also the list of things it does not do, because you will find out in month two anyway.

Straight answer

SEO tools for agencies: the pitch and the catch.

MrKeyword is built on first-party data: your client's own Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools properties, live Google Keyword Planner search volume, and MrKeyword's own crawler. That makes it honest and cheap — $5 per website rather than a three-figure monthly platform fee — and it makes it narrow. There is no backlink index, no competitor traffic estimate, no PPC research and no white-labelling. If your retainer is sold on those, keep your suite; MrKeyword will not replace it.

What it does replace, for a lot of freelancers and small agencies, is the part of the suite you actually open every week: where are we ranking, what moved, what is broken, and what do I put in the monthly report. If that is most of your tool usage, the maths changes quickly.

Pricing

One price, times the number of clients.

Pro AI at $5 for the first website and $5 for each one after it. Allowances are per website, and seats grow with the count.

What a portfolio costs, computed from the current per-website price.
Client sitesMonthlyTracked keywordsAudit pages a monthAI page auditsSeats
1 site$51,0005,000503
3 sites$153,00015,0001505
5 sites$255,00025,0002507
10 sites$5010,00050,00050012

Add or remove a site from Settings and the subscription follows on the next invoice. Need more of one thing for one month? A $5 credit pack (50 AI page audits, 5,000 crawl pages) works on any plan and lasts 12 months.

Client reporting

Nine sections, scheduled, with the source printed.

Build a report once, choose a period and a comparison, and have it arrive every Monday or on the 1st. 10 scheduled reports are included per website on Pro AI, to up to 25 recipients each. A report is a rendering of the daily rows already stored for the site, so the document and the dashboard can never disagree — which matters when a client reads both.

  • Weekly on Mondays or monthly on the 1st, 06:00 UTC
  • CSV export and browser Print / Save as PDF
  • Incomplete periods are flagged, not quietly under-reported
  • No white-label: the report carries MrKeyword's name

The part that saves the most time

Let the assistant answer the client's question.

Connect a workspace token to Claude or Cursor and you can ask about a client site in plain English instead of opening four tabs. 24 tools, 19 of them reads, answer from that one workspace and nothing else. It is the difference between “let me pull that up” and answering on the call.

  • A token reads one workspace, and dies when its creator leaves it
  • Read-only unless you tick “Allow this token to make changes”
  • Four ready-made prompts, including a weekly review and a client report
  • 120 calls a minute per token

Defensible data

Where the numbers come from, so you can answer for them.

The reason to care about sourcing is not purity, it is the meeting. When a client asks why the report says position 8.4 and their phone says position 3, you need an answer that survives the follow-up question.

MrKeyword's answer is always the same: that figure is the impression-weighted average position Google Search Console reported for your property over the period, across every device, location and personalisation that real searches carried. It is not a live check from one browser in one city. Both numbers are true, they measure different things, and only one of them is a measurement of your actual audience.

Every metric in the product carries a label — Measured, Derived, Estimated or Not available — a confidence level and an as-of date, and a metric that cannot name its source is rejected in code before it reaches a screen. Search volumes are fetched live from the official Google Keyword Planner API on every search. Keyword difficulty is called an estimate everywhere it appears, because it is one.

Scope

What this does not do

If one of these is a dealbreaker, better to find out now than in month two.

  • No white-label. Reports carry MrKeyword's name. There is no plan that removes it.
  • No client portal. Clients can be viewers in the workspace or receive an emailed report; there is no branded client login.
  • No backlink index and no competitor traffic estimates. Link data covers what MrKeyword's own crawler and the open web graph have seen.
  • No competitor rank tracking. MrKeyword reads properties your client has verified, so it cannot report on a site you do not have access to.
  • No PPC or ads research. Keyword Planner data is used for search demand only.
  • Every client needs their own Search Console access. That is a conversation to have before the sale, not after.

Questions from agencies and freelancers

How does MrKeyword price agency use?

Per website. Pro AI is $5 a month for the first site and $5 for each one after it, and every allowance multiplies with the count — so ten clients get ten times the keywords, audit pages and lookups, not a bigger number invented for a bigger tier.

Do you offer white-label reports?

No. Reports carry MrKeyword's name, and we are not going to list a feature we do not ship. If white-labelling is a requirement for your client work, this is the point to stop reading rather than to start a subscription.

Is there a client portal?

Not yet. Clients cannot log in to a branded dashboard of their own. What you can do today is add them to the workspace as a viewer, which lets them read everything and change nothing, or email them a scheduled report.

How many people can work in a workspace?

3 seats on Pro AI, and each extra website adds another. Roles are owner, admin, member and viewer — a viewer can read everything and change nothing, which is the safe setting for a client.

Can I answer client questions without opening the app?

Yes, and this is the part agencies tend to like. MrKeyword runs an MCP server, so Claude or Cursor can read a workspace directly. “What is hurting the Northwind site today?” is a question your assistant answers from real data in a few seconds. The developer reference lists all 24 tools.

Can I track competitor rankings for a client?

No. MrKeyword reads the properties you have connected, so it can only report on sites your client has verified. Competitor rank tracking would need SERP scraping or a bought index, and MrKeyword has neither.

What happens to a client's data when we part ways?

Remove the website from the workspace and its stored data goes with it. You can also close the account entirely. The privacy notice covers retention.
