- Switch from Ubersuggest if you keep hitting the free account's search limit, need daily rank tracking or deeper link data, or only work on sites you own and want Google's own numbers.
- Ubersuggest's paid plans sat in a US$29 to US$99 a month range on its pricing page (checked November 2026), with 1, 7 or 15 projects and rankings updated weekly.
- Free alternatives: Google Keyword Planner and Search Console, Ahrefs Free for verified sites, and MrKeyword's Free plan (25 tracked keywords, 10 keyword lookups a month).
- Paid suites start at $61 (Mangools Basic), $49 (Moz Starter), $129 (SE Ranking Core) and $139 (Semrush SEO) a month on monthly billing.
- MrKeyword (our product) is free, then $10 a month, built on your Search Console and Bing data with an MCP server for Claude. It does not research competitors' rankings the way Ubersuggest does.
Disclosure: MrKeyword publishes this page and is one of the Ubersuggest alternatives compared. Every price below comes from the vendor's own pricing page, and the date we read it is printed next to it. Where a page did not state something clearly, we say so rather than guess.
Short answer: stay on Ubersuggest if you want one cheap suite for keyword ideas, a site audit and weekly rank checks. Switch if you need daily rankings or bigger link data (Semrush, SE Ranking, Ahrefs, Moz), a cheap keyword tool (Mangools), or only your own site's real Google numbers for free (Search Console, Keyword Planner, MrKeyword).
What Ubersuggest does well, and where people hit limits
Ubersuggest, from Neil Patel's company, puts keyword ideas, competitor research, a site audit, backlinks and rank tracking in one inexpensive suite. Its pricing page, read on 1 November 2026, showed plans in a range of US$29 to US$99 a month, with monthly, yearly and one-time lifetime billing and a one-time 7-day free trial on monthly plans. The page shows each plan's price in the visitor's local currency, so we quote only the US-dollar range it prints itself.
- Plan limits (checked November 2026): Individual, Business and Enterprise allow 1, 7 and 15 projects, 125 to 300 tracked keywords per project, and 150, 300 and 900 reports a day.
- Rank updates are weekly on the plans' tracked keywords, so day-to-day movement does not show.
- The free account is light. Ubersuggest describes a free plan for light research, but its pricing page did not state a daily search allowance for it when we checked, so we do not quote a number.
- Its numbers are its own estimates for any domain, not your measured Google data. For audit limits and how its crawler works, see our Ubersuggest site audit review.
Ubersuggest alternatives compared at a glance
The seven alternatives split into suites that model data for any domain (Mangools, SE Ranking, Semrush, Moz) and tools built on measured data for sites you verify (Ahrefs Free, Google's tools, MrKeyword).
Ubersuggest and seven alternatives
| Tool | Best for | Free tier | Starting price (monthly billing) | Honest weakness |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ubersuggest | Beginners wanting one cheap suite | Free account for light research; 7-day trial | US$29 to US$99/mo range | Weekly rank updates; estimated data |
| MrKeyword | Owners and small agencies working on their own sites | Free plan, does not expire | $10/mo (Starter) | No competitor rank research; smaller link index |
| Mangools | Simple keyword research (KWFinder) | KWFinder: 5 lookups per 24 hours | $61/mo (Basic) | Rankings update weekly except on Agency |
| SE Ranking | Large rank tracking allowances | 14-day trial, no card | $129/mo (Core) | No ongoing free plan |
| Semrush | Broad competitor and keyword research | Free plan, 10 reports a day | $139/mo (SEO plan) | Highest entry price here |
| Ahrefs Webmaster Tools (Ahrefs Free) | Free audit and backlinks for your own site | Free for verified sites | Free | Only sites you verify; capped rows |
| Google Keyword Planner + Search Console | Free keyword volumes and your real rankings | Both free | Free | Volume ranges without active ads; no competitor data |
| Moz Pro | Moz Domain Authority and link data | Free account, 10 Link Explorer queries a month | $49/mo (Starter, one site) | Starter limits not listed on its pricing page |
1. MrKeyword
Best for: owners and small agencies who work on their own sites and want Google's and Bing's measured numbers rather than estimates. MrKeyword reads your Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools data, keeps a daily history, crawls your site and fetches search volume live from Google Keyword Planner through the official Google Ads API. An MCP server for Claude lets Claude or Cursor answer questions from the same data, and the free SEO tools need no sign-up.
- Free tier: Free covers 1 website, 25 tracked keywords, 10 keyword lookups and 100 audit pages a month. The free keyword research tool shows Keyword Planner volume with its source and fetch time.
- Starting price: Starter is $10 a month (1 website, 500 tracked keywords); Growth $19; Agency $49. See pricing.
- Honest weakness: positions come from Search Console and Bing for sites you verify, so it cannot track competitors' rankings or show the keywords another site gets traffic from, as Ubersuggest does. Its link index is smaller than the big suites'.
2. Mangools
Best for: simple keyword research. Mangools bundles KWFinder, SERPChecker, SERPWatcher, LinkMiner and SiteProfiler on every plan. Its pricing page listed Basic at $61, Premium at $81 and Agency at $141 a month on monthly billing (read 1 November 2026); our Mangools pricing breakdown has the yearly prices and every limit.
- Free tier: KWFinder gives 5 lookups per 24 hours without a card.
- Honest weakness: rankings update weekly except on Agency, and Basic caps keyword lookups per day.
3. SE Ranking
Best for: agencies and site owners who track many keywords. On 1 November 2026 its pricing page listed Core at $129 a month (2,000 keywords tracked daily) and Growth at $279, with Enterprise through sales. Details are in our SE Ranking pricing guide.
- Free tier: a 14-day free trial with no credit card; no lasting free plan.
- Honest weakness: it costs several times Ubersuggest's range, which only pays off if you use the larger allowances.
4. Semrush
Best for: wide competitor, keyword and advertising research in one suite. On 2 November 2026 its pricing page listed the SEO plan at $139 a month (5 websites, 500 keywords tracked daily), with larger plans at $199 and $299. Our Semrush pricing guide lists every plan.
- Free tier: a free plan with 10 reports a day, and a 7-day trial of paid plans.
- Honest weakness: the highest entry price in this list, and more tool than a beginner needs.
5. Ahrefs Webmaster Tools (Ahrefs Free)
Best for: a free site audit and backlink view of a site you own. Ahrefs says Ahrefs Free is the renamed Ahrefs Webmaster Tools: it gives Site Explorer, Site Audit and Web Analytics for verified websites, with up to 1,000 backlinks and keywords visible at once and 5,000 crawl credits per project a month.
- Free tier: free for sites you verify. Paid Ahrefs plans start at $29 (Starter) and $129 (Lite) a month (read 2 November 2026).
- Honest weakness: it only covers sites you verify, so it does not replace Ubersuggest's research into other domains.
6. Google Keyword Planner + Search Console
Best for: free keyword volumes and your site's real Google rankings. Keyword Planner is free inside a Google Ads account and gives search volume straight from Google. Search Console is free and shows the queries your site already appears for, with clicks, impressions, CTR and average position.
- Free tier: both are free.
- Honest weakness: Keyword Planner shows broad volume ranges unless an account runs ads, and neither tool shows competitors. Our guide to using Keyword Planner free covers the setup.
7. Moz Pro
Best for: teams that report Moz Domain Authority or want Moz's link data. On 1 November 2026 its pricing page listed Starter at $49 a month for one website and Standard at $99. Our Moz alternatives page compares it in depth.
- Free tier: a free Moz Community account, which Moz says includes 10 Link Explorer queries a month.
- Honest weakness: the Starter plan's limits are not listed on its pricing page, and Standard costs more than Ubersuggest's range.

Pick by the job you do each week, not by the length of the feature list. For more budget plans, see our affordable SEO tools comparison and the SEO tool pricing hub.
| If you need… | Tools that fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Free keyword volumes | Google Keyword Planner, MrKeyword | Volume comes from Google itself |
| Your own rankings, clicks and audits at low cost | Search Console, MrKeyword, Ahrefs Free | Measured data for sites you verify |
| Cheap keyword research with difficulty scores | Mangools, Ubersuggest | Simple tools with low entry prices |
| Daily rank tracking for many keywords | SE Ranking, Semrush | Large daily tracking allowances |
| Competitor and backlink research on any domain | Semrush, Moz Pro, Ahrefs paid plans | Large web-wide databases |
Many site owners combine the two kinds: a free source of measured data for their own site, and a suite only when they need competitor research.
Moving your keywords over
Keyword lists move easily; ranking history does not. Export your keyword list from Ubersuggest where your plan allows it, then paste it into the new tool. MrKeyword's bulk keyword check takes up to 500 keywords per request, at one lookup per 25 keywords. No tool can import Ubersuggest's past rank history, but Search Console keeps its own history of your site's queries, so tools built on it, including MrKeyword, start with your real past data.
Questions and answers
Ubersuggest alternatives questions
Is Ubersuggest free?
Partly. Ubersuggest offers a free account for light research and a one-time 7-day free trial on monthly plans. Its pricing page did not state the free account's daily search allowance when we checked in November 2026. Paid plans were shown in a US$29 to US$99 a month range.
Is there a free Ubersuggest alternative?
Yes, for your own site. Google Keyword Planner and Search Console are free, Ahrefs Free covers sites you verify, and MrKeyword's Free plan includes 25 tracked keywords and 10 keyword lookups a month. None of them researches competitors as deeply as a paid suite.
Ubersuggest vs Semrush: which is better?
Semrush is the bigger suite, with daily rank tracking and deeper competitor research, from $139 a month (November 2026). Ubersuggest costs less (US$29 to US$99 a month) and suits beginners who need basic keyword ideas, an audit and weekly rank checks.
Is Ubersuggest data accurate?
Ubersuggest's search volumes, traffic and difficulty figures are its own estimates, like those of every third-party suite, so treat them as guides rather than exact numbers. For your own site, Google Search Console shows measured clicks, impressions and positions, and Keyword Planner shows volume from Google itself.
Can I import my Ubersuggest keywords?
You can move the keyword list, not the history. Export the list from Ubersuggest where your plan allows it and paste it into the new tool; MrKeyword's bulk check takes up to 500 keywords per request. Ranking history stays in Ubersuggest, but Search Console keeps its own history of your site's queries.
