It is not Moz DA or Ahrefs DR.
It is MrKeyword Link Authority, calculated its own way and labelled as such.
Paste a list and see each domain's authority score (0–100), web-graph position, linking domains, backlinks and hosting right here, with no sign-up — built on MrKeyword's web graph and link index, not resold from a paid API, with a confidence level on every number.
Looking for Moz DA? This is our own Link Authority score, not Moz's number. Here's how they differ.
Need more than five? A free account checks 25 domains at a time, and lists of up to 200 in the app.
Built on first-party data from Google and Bing
Your domain authority is a 0–100 estimate of how strong your website's backlink profile is. To see yours, type your domain in the box above: the checker returns its MrKeyword Link Authority in a few seconds with no sign-up, with the number of domains linking to it and its position in MrKeyword's web graph.
Read the score against your competitors rather than on its own. Most websites score under 20 (developing); 20–39 is moderate, 40–59 strong and 60 or more very strong, the same bands every result and profile uses. The scale is logarithmic, so moving from 20 to 30 is far easier than from 70 to 80. A brand-new or rarely linked site shows “No data” instead of a guessed score. For how scores spread across the whole web, see what a good domain authority score is, with the median and top 1% of Link Authority.
A domain authority checker measures how strong a website is likely to be in search, based mainly on the number and quality of other sites linking to it. The original “Domain Authority (DA)” metric was created by Moz; MrKeyword computes its own score, MrKeyword Link Authority, from links it can show you, so the numbers will differ.
For a sense of scale, MrKeyword publishes the most-linked .ca websites, the most-linked .co.uk websites and other most-linked websites by domain ending, each with its Link Authority.
No. This is a free domain authority checker, but the score it shows is MrKeyword Link Authority, not Moz Domain Authority. Moz DA is Moz's own metric, so only Moz can show it, and any number on this page comes from MrKeyword's link index.
If a client or a report needs the literal Moz number, use Moz's own free tools. Moz says a free Moz Community account gets 10 queries a month in Link Explorer, and its free MozBar browser extension shows Domain Authority as you browse (both as of November 2026).
To read both, compare sites inside one tool and never mix scores. Check your site and three to five competitors in Moz, then the same list here: if both put the sites in the same order, the gap is real; if they disagree, look at referring domains, because each index has seen different links.
For how the scores are built, read what domain authority is, and how Moz DA and Ahrefs DR differ. If you are leaving Moz Pro altogether, our comparison of Moz alternatives sets out the prices and where Moz is still stronger.
They are three domain-strength scores built from three different link indexes, so they often point the same way but never match. Never compare one company's score with another's. This page shows only MrKeyword Link Authority.
| Moz Domain Authority (DA) | MrKeyword Link Authority | Ahrefs Domain Rating (DR) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Made by | Moz | MrKeyword (this page) | Ahrefs |
| Scale | 1–100 | 0–100, log-scaled | 0–100, logarithmic |
| Built from | Moz's own link index | MrKeyword's crawler plus the MrKeyword web graph (about 135 million domains) | Ahrefs' own crawler and link index |
| How it is calculated | A machine learning algorithm weighing several factors, mainly link data such as the number of linking root domains | A damped PageRank over followed, cross-domain links, with link farms down-weighted, log-scaled against the strongest domain seen | Similar to PageRank, as Ahrefs describes it: each linking domain with a followed link passes on a share of its own DR |
| How often it updates | Not stated on Moz's Domain Authority page, which says scores can fluctuate | Our PageRank is recomputed on a schedule (every six hours by default); web-graph positions change with each new MrKeyword web graph release | Not stated on the Ahrefs pages we read |
| Shows its working | Score only | Source, confidence level and as-of date on every number, or “No data” | Score only |
| Cost to check it | Free Moz Community account: 10 Link Explorer queries a month, per Moz; MozBar is free | Free: 5 domains per check with no sign-up, 25 with a free account, 200 per list in the app | Free Website Authority Checker on Ahrefs' site |
Sources, checked 1 November 2026: Moz's Domain Authority guide and Link Explorer page, and Ahrefs' Domain Rating guide and Website Authority Checker. A domain that is 40 here may be higher or lower on Moz or Ahrefs, because each index has seen a different set of links.
Up to 5 per check with no sign-up, 25 per check on a free MrKeyword account, and lists of up to 200 in the app's Bulk Analysis. Paste one domain per line above, with or without https://; each result has a link you can share that re-runs the same list.
Bulk Analysis takes pasted text or a CSV file, fills the table as results arrive, and lets you sort, filter and export it as CSV. To see who links to any of those domains, use the free backlink checker; for an estimate of their organic clicks, the website traffic checker.
Yes, for websites you add to a MrKeyword workspace. MrKeyword stores each domain's Link Authority every time it recomputes the score, and Backlink Analysis shows the change over the last six months (labelled Domain Authority in the app) beside charts of referring domains over time and new referring domains per month.
History starts once MrKeyword's own crawler has scored a domain, so a domain scored only from MrKeyword's web graph has no history yet. The checker on this page shows the current score only. Our guide on how to increase domain authority covers what actually moves the line.
Yes. The MrKeyword Data API returns the same Link Authority, referring-domain and backlink totals and web-graph position from GET /api/v1/domains/authority, at 1 credit per domain; a POST checks up to 100 domains in one call. The free Developer plan includes 500 credits a month to build and test.
For worked curl examples, error handling and what 10,000 lookups a month cost, see our guide to building a domain authority checker with an SEO API.
Yes. Check your domain above and open Get badge on its result to copy a small image badge showing its MrKeyword Link Authority. The embed code is a plain image link to your domain's MrKeyword profile, or to this checker when it has no profile, with no script and no tracking.
The badge shows MrKeyword's own Link Authority for exactly that domain, not Moz DA, and follows the score whenever MrKeyword recalculates it. A domain with no score of its own is offered no badge, so a badge never shows a guessed number. Each profile on the domain authority list of popular websites offers the same badge.
MrKeyword runs a damped PageRank across followed, cross-domain links in its own index plus the MrKeyword web graph, then log-scales it 0–100 against the strongest domain it has seen. Domains that show link-farm signals — huge one-way outbound hubs or reciprocal rings — are detected and down-weighted, so authority reflects genuine trust rather than manipulation.

Your own, or competitors' — with or without https://. Authority does not need Search Console, so any domain works.
The score, web-graph position, linking domains, backlinks and hosting appear on this page in a few seconds, with a link you can share.
Each number carries its source and a confidence level — or “No data” where neither MrKeyword's web graph nor our crawler has seen links to the domain.
A domain authority score is useful. It is also easy to over-read.
It is MrKeyword Link Authority, calculated its own way and labelled as such.
It covers links MrKeyword's crawler and web graph have seen, and says so. Our study of the most-linked websites in 2026 shows what that web graph counts, and what it leaves out.
Authority is one input among many, best read against the competitors for a specific keyword.
— usually brand-new or unlinked sites — until links to them have been discovered.
Want to see how a well-known site's authority is made up before you check your own? Each public profile shows what MrKeyword's own data says about one domain's Link Authority.
Auf Deutsch: Der Domain Authority Checker kostenlos prüft die Autorität jeder Website mit denselben Daten. Der Wert ist MrKeywords eigene Link Authority von 0 bis 100, nicht die Domain Authority (DA) von Moz.
Enter up to 5 domains above and see their scores with the working shown.
Check a domain freeNo. This shows MrKeyword Link Authority, our own 0–100 score derived from a PageRank over our own link graph. It is a comparable domain-strength metric, but it is not Moz's proprietary DA and the numbers will differ. For Moz's own number, use Moz's free Link Explorer or MozBar.
Yes, it is free. Enter up to 5 domains and the result appears on this page with no sign-up. A free MrKeyword account raises that to 25 domains at a time, and the app's Bulk Analysis checks lists of up to 200. Every result has a link you can share, which re-runs the same list.
No. Google does not publish a domain authority score, and there is no Google domain authority checker. Every authority score, including this one, is a third-party estimate from links. For Google's own view of who links to you, open the Links report in Search Console.
Two places, both ours: MrKeyword's web graph, which ranks about 135 million domains by PageRank, and MrKeyword's own crawler, which records the linking pages it has seen. Our own PageRank scores a domain once our crawler has seen at least 10 domains linking to it; below that, its web-graph position sets the score. No Moz, Ahrefs or Semrush API is called.
Yes, for websites you add to a MrKeyword workspace. Backlink Analysis shows how its score changed over the last six months (the app labels it Domain Authority), beside its referring domains over time. History starts once MrKeyword's own crawler has scored the domain; this page shows the current score only.
We keep the top 50 million domains of MrKeyword's web graph plus every domain our own crawler has seen linked. A domain outside both, usually a brand-new or unlinked site, shows “No data” rather than an invented figure.
A free account adds rank tracking, keyword research and a 68-check site audit, with the same provenance on every metric.
